I have been practicing Yoga for over 18 years, coming to it initially as a way to combat a stressful job. Yoga has been a constant in my life, supporting my personal changes, having a family, changing careers, every day to day challenges. This has developed into my wanting to teach and share with others what I have gained through my own Yoga journey and my personal practice. I have over 6 years teaching experience.
I teach Hatha Yoga, a gentle form of Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga which is more dynamic. I practice both these forms of yoga myself, along with Iyengar Yoga in the past. I also run specific Yoga for Pregnancy 4 week courses regularly in a small personal group setting.
Currently I teach a number of one to one tuition and small private groups. This helps students get into a regular yoga practice and to have a session specifically tailored for their needs. It also enables students to improve general fitness and concentration levels.
I have experience of running Yoga for Children sessions – to increase confidence and awareness in children. I also run Yoga for Stress Relief sessions for staff in schools and the workplace which have always been well received! These sessions incorporate both Yoga and Mindfulness techniques.
